Bone Grafting

Bone grafting procedures are indicated for patients who have insufficient bone to allow the placement of dental implants, the wearing of dentures, or the general stability of the underlying bone.

There are several options available for the source of the bone. These include donations from the patient of their own bone from places such as the chin, the molar region, the hip, the knee or the pelvis. Another alternative is the use of synthetic graft materials such as calcium compounds.

Dr Hyam will discuss the various options with you and help you to choose the procedure, harvest site, and material which is likely to give you the best long term results.
